Manufactured by BM Tractors S.r.l. in Italy, distributed across Canada by Better Canada Machinerie in Quebec, and supported locally by Partners Solutions in Orillia, Ontario — this is a fully integrated system designed to deliver performance, reliability, and long-term operational value.
The Architecture Behind Productivity
Most capital equipment is evaluated by specification — horsepower, hydraulic flow, lift capacity. But specification alone does not define capability. Capability is defined by architecture.
The Better 175 is a European-engineered, productivity-first tractor designed to increase output per operator, compress fleet size, and enable operations to scale without scaling labor.
Through bidirectional design, reversible operator station, and multi-mode steering, the machine is built to perform multiple roles with a single operator — efficiently, consistently, and year-round.
From Conventional Fleets to Productivity Architecture
Both Partners Solutions and Better Canada Machinerie built their operations using conventional North American equipment, including New Holland TV series tractors, in demanding snow removal environments.
While effective within specific roles, this approach created a predictable pattern as operations grew:
- More machines required for specialized tasks
- More operators required to run them
- More coordination, maintenance, and idle equipment
- Increased exposure to labor constraints
The limitation was not power — it was architecture.
The Shift
In 2019 and 2022, both organizations transitioned to the Better platform — not simply as a new tractor, but as a new operational model.
- Better Canada Machinerie — through residential operations with JFB — has scaled to a fleet of 10+ Better units, enabling high-output route density with fewer operators.
- Partners Solutions — serving municipal and commercial clients, including the City of Orillia — integrates the Better 175 alongside payloaders, salt trucks, and skid steers to reduce fleet dependency and increase operational flexibility.

BM Tractors S.r.l. was founded by Giancarlo Bedini and has evolved into a highly specialized manufacturer of innovative, multi-functional tractors designed for demanding applications across agriculture, forestry, and municipal work.
